Hebei in maybe 12 hours, Past few days

Overall, this is a great week :)

View Summer in Beijing, China on jennhuynh's travel map.

I'll make this short since I should go to bed soon. I think this might be just random outbursts about my week. This week has been pretty good. It's hard to believe that two weeks have gone by since I left my home in CT! I've learned so many new things in school, and I can feel my Chinese getting bettter. We also started music this week (learned Mo Li Hua, Auld Lang Syne---Engilsh and Chinese version!, and a Jay Chou song about Chrysanthemums), as well as art. I'll post a picture of the grapes I painted (whose leaves look like a pot plant according to my painting neighbors xD i don't have too great of an artistic ability lol) I got my first manicure on Tuesday of this week as well, but it wasn't worth the 20 yuan I spent getting it. I was able to peel it off today and it was better just painting it myself at no charge xD By the way (for my sister) I'm gonna post a picture of that 8 floor shopping center/mall with a movie theater on the 9th floor and an all shoes floor in the basement level. (jealous yet Sis? lol) THERE ARE STRAY CATS OUTSIDE OF MY SCHOOL D; At school I've also been playing a lot of Badminton! I swear I've been playing everyday with my friend Sean. We're an awesome doubles team :D He's so enthusiastic about it with his power shots and graceful moves :) We both love Badminton. Today we even played indoors because it was raining! Yesterday we played against Brett and Angelique, it was pretty interesting. We also went to visit a Kindergarten class today and they were soo cute! I loved this kid named Bob. He's adorable and speaks Chinese so well! (I couldn't understand him most of the time hahah) It makes me wish I could speak as well as he does. There were so many adorable kids, and they sang us songs! I really had a lot of fun. I also felt so accomplished when I made it home by myself, no help from host parents or my host sister. I even went to the supermarket near my house, tried to buy a book to practice Chinese with, and then complained abotu the book to the store clerk because it was missing like 6 pages. I actually understood him saying "Today there's no more Xi Yang Yang (Pleasant Goat) books, but if you come back tomorrow night there'll be more in stock." Then I repsonded, "I'm out of town tomorrow night, will there be more on Monday?" Ahhh it was so great :) Chinese is getting better! And tonight I also had a great dinner with eating Hot pot. I was so full after, I guess it's a good addition considering lunch can become just rice and choy sometimes. Sorry this post is short, but I gotta get to sleep. I'm going to Hebei for a conference on Friday and wanna get some pictures in so you guys aren't too bored haha. Just saying, I probably won't post as often as I'd like, just email me if you want full updates of what's going on! For now, 再见!

this will totally ruin your mood but do you know what you got for the ap bio exam?

by Aya!

I'M HOME. well not home home but my home in Beijing. some of you guys should email me...like soon. just saying.

Bob is the one in the front of the picture with little hand horns ^___^ Well the little kid in the middle of the picture of me and Sean that is. Yes Emily, guang tou zei. And Emily, that's not even the biggest mall in Beijing. That whole block is shopping centers. xD
@Duey: I'm so glad that my Chinese is pretty good. Haha, read my Hebei post about how many times people thought I was a native speaker who stalked American students xD
@Aya: HIIIII! :) Lol, I don't know what I got on the AP exam, but I'm pretty sure my parents know. Doesn't matter to me, though some of these older kids who took AP bio senior yer got 4's and 5's, and some smart people from their states got 3's...so I'm expecting to see a 1. How'd you do?? (and do you know how everyone else did?)

by jennhuynh

JEN!!! I got a 4 in Euro and a 2 in French and Bio (HOLY CRAP!! I THOUGHT I DID WELL IN FRENCH!!! D:)
Antonio got a five on the bio... that was the first thing he told me when he popped up on fb chat...
but i'm happy with my euro score! I'm going to redo my french because i was confident on that until i saw my score... D:
I know a guy who took 6 aps- and received 5's on all of them!

by Aya!

I got a 3 in Bio!!! I'm actually excited that I did average on the test haha. I thought I got a 1 because I basically wrote "WTF" all over the first question. Woww Antonio would get a 5. Oh well I guess I can try harder for the AP USH and AP Lang tests next year. (don't wanna think about those right now...haha) Wow, lucky smart person who got all 5's! I talked to my friend here and had to take like 19 tests in the month of May (AP's, IB, etc). I thought that AP Bio was bad!

i'm kinda creeping on yours and mariah's earlier posts, heheh. JEN WE GOT THE SAME SCORE ON BIO!! ^.^ ahaha i'm pretty sure the scorers thought i was on crack and felt pity for me or something though O_o

zai jian c: (is that how you say goodbye? tehee, it was worth a try)

YELLOW SHIRT GUY IS NAMED BOB. LIKE UR MONKEY :D instead of an arrow he had a harry potter scar drawn on his head! it's close :o i don't remember if i mentioned he had a pony tail but he did :O
i actually asked my teacher if i could take one home, but they said i'd get in trouble O__O

3 is the magic number. yo i heard people got 5's on that! i think they felt sorry for my wtf's on the first question. hehe, well gotta get ready for the two ap tests next year... :P
